For Kith’s pop-up shop at Maxfield LA, Institute
transported the New York World’s Fair in Queens to Melrose
Ave, complete with a Unisphere, national flags and
vintage New York food carts.
The 10 foot tall Unisphere modern replica was constructed from steel and sat in the center of the space as a monument, surrounded by the national flags of the countries affected by the recent travel ban in a subtle gesture of solidarity.

New product was positioned atop minimal glass
cubes, detailed with a condensation effect as a
nod to the fountains that surround the Unisphere
in Queens.
The experience coincided with a new campaign and product release dubbed “Love Thy City” which included jackets, hoodies, hats and footwear.
